A Bit of History

Frederique Constant was established in the year 1988. The first collection comprising 6 models was announced and lunched in 1992 by Aletta Bax and Peter  Stas.  From watch production, to initial design, to final assembly. Watche are manufactured and designed by Frederique Constant or by independent designers contracted for a specific series of models.

Frederique Constant has grown into one of the larger Swiss watch manufacturers. In 2011, production reached over 120,000 watches, sold in over 2,700 points of sale in more than 100 countries. Frederique Constant positions itself in the accessible luxury segment, with most of its watches selling in the price range of CHF 1,000–5,000 retail.

Frederique Constant is focused on affordable luxury watches and has seen success with its heart beat movement, the first such caliber made in-house, with a bridge for the balance wheel on the front side of the movement (patented design).
